“Threats to Online Journalism” in debate at #6COBCIBER

Fake news, post-truth, clickbait, sponsored content, end of net neutrality, misinformation, immediacy, publication without verification, infotainment, sensationalism, viral content, manipulation, bias, decontextualization, desktop publishing, amateur publishing, anonymity, sedentary lifestyle in newsrooms, multitasking , disinvestment, disintermediation, deregulation, precariousness, social networks, search engines, aggregators, content plagiarism, personal data traffic, intrusive advertising, ad blockers, automation, robots… There are many threats to online journalism.

In this VI International Conference on Online Journalism (#6COBCIBER), in which we mark 10 years of the Online Journalism Observatory (ObCiber), we want to make a global diagnosis, perceive causes, contexts and effects, and look for solutions to face the threats to online newsmaking.

Along with invited speakers, specialists in the field, we want to bring together the best national and international scientific production on the many phenomena that threaten online journalism.
